New planet discovered in our solar system

The planet is called Tyche. Cy the way according to Wiki In ancient Greek city cults, Tyche (????, meaning “luck” in Greek, Roman equivalent: Fortuna) was the presiding tutelary deity that governed the fortune and prosperity of a city, its destiny.

John Matese and Daniel Whitmire, researchers at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, created a mathematical model that shows a distant gas planet one to four times the mass of Jupiter could explain the patterns of comets in a particular region of the sky. It is believed to be a gas giant located some 1.35 trillion miles from the Sun, which is equivalent to 15,000 AU. In layman’s terms, it would take light from Tyche roughly thre months to reach Earth. Tyche is also believed to be between three-and-four times the size of the current champion of the solar system, Jupiter, and have a surface temperature of -73C.

The solar system currently has eight known planets.

The Sun "Announced" Global Cataclysm

Canadian scientists reported about the sun intensive nuclear fusion. The researchers recorded the acceleration of fusion reaction of light nuclei into heavier nuclei, which occurs at ultra-high temperature and accompanied with a huge amounts of energy.
According to scientific concepts, the main source of energy of the sun and other stars is nuclear fusion reaction. In terrestrial conditions, this reaction carries out like the explosion of the hydrogen bomb. Such solar nuclear fusion links to the upcoming a new cycle of stars. Traditionally, the solar cycle lasts 11 years, As a result of increasing activity of the star, the energy generated by the Sun, will bring next few years the splash of global warming.
The last solar activity was recorded in 1998 and accompanied with unusual daily limit temperature.
By the way at the beginning of April this year, American scientists from American Academy of Sciences (NASA) figured out a hypothetical scenario entitled “Threats to Space Weather: social and economic consequences’, where researchers predicted that the “doomsday” will happen on Sept. 22, 2012.
On that day, the study’s authors believe, the sun will be occurred a series of heavy outbreaks. The consequence would be unheard of geomagnetic storms on the planet.
The alarm signal from the satellite observing the Sun has to come to the center of space research in Houston. At the disposal of mankind will be just a few minutes, the researchers said, but all efforts will be futile.
As they say, people will see lights, like the Arctic ones, but much brighter. As far as all power transformers will come down only in the U.S. in 90 seconds after the sun’s impact will be destroyed up 300 key transformers then more than 130 million people would be without electricity will.
Nobody dies in that very moment, just shutting water, petrol station, oil and gas pipelines. Independent power systems will work for three days then also stop. But later, as a result, millions people will die because of the global paralysis of the economy.

LCROSS reached the Moon

On Tuesday, June 23,
Toda LCROSS executed a swingby of the Moon, NASA reports.

LCROSS reached periselene, its closest approach, at 10:30:33 UT, with the spacecraft passing 1,988 miles (3200 km) from the Moon. The flyby resulted in a gravity assist from the Moon which put LCROSS into its cruise Lunar Gravity Assist Lunar Return Orbit (LGALRO).

The swingby also provided mission scientists with an opportunity for instrument calibration and the return of images from the far side of the Moon.

September 22, 2012 Catastrophe

According to it is midnight on September 22, 2012 and the skies above Manhattan are filled with a flickering curtain of colorful light. Few New Yorkers have seen the aurora this far south but their fascination is short-lived. Within a few seconds, electric bulbs dim and flicker, then become unusually bright for a fleeting moment. Then all the lights in the state go out. Within 90 seconds, the entire eastern half of the US is without power.

A year later and millions of Americans are dead and the nation’s infrastructure lies in tatters. The World Bank declares America a developing nation. Europe, Scandinavia, China and Japan are also struggling to recover from the same fateful event – a violent storm, 150 million kilometers away on the surface of the sun.

It sounds ridiculous. Surely the sun couldn’t create so profound a disaster on Earth. Yet an extraordinary report funded by NASA and issued by the US National Academy of Sciences (NAS) in January this year claims it could do just that.

Over the last few decades, western civilizations have busily sown the seeds of their own destruction. Our modern way of life, with its reliance on technology, has unwittingly exposed us to an extraordinary danger: plasma balls spewed from the surface of the sun could wipe out our power grids, with catastrophic consequences.

The projections of just how catastrophic make chilling reading. “We’re moving closer and closer to the edge of a possible disaster,” says Daniel Baker, a space weather expert based at the University of Colorado in Boulder, and chair of the NAS committee responsible for the report.

It is hard to conceive of the sun wiping out a large amount of our hard-earned progress. Nevertheless, it is possible. The surface of the sun is a roiling mass of plasma – charged high-energy particles – some of which escape the surface and travel through space as the solar wind. From time to time, that wind carries a billion-tonne glob of plasma, a fireball known as a coronal mass ejection. If one should hit the Earth’s magnetic shield, the result could be truly devastating.

The incursion of the plasma into our atmosphere causes rapid changes in the configuration of Earth’s magnetic field which, in turn, induce currents in the long wires of the power grids. The grids were not built to handle this sort of direct current electricity. The greatest danger is at the step-up and step-down transformers used to convert power from its transport voltage to domestically useful voltage. The increased DC current creates strong magnetic fields that saturate a transformer’s magnetic core. The result is runaway current in the transformer’s copper wiring, which rapidly heats up and melts. This is exactly what happened in the Canadian province of Quebec in March 1989, and six million people spent 9 hours without electricity. But things could get much, much worse than that.

Unexpected Anomalies

Mysteriously, five spacecraft that flew past the Earth have each displayed unexpected anomalies in their motions, reports. In five of the six flybys, the scientists have confirmed anomalies.

“I am feeling both humble and perplexed by this,” said Anderson, who is now working as a retiree. “There is something very strange going on with spacecraft motions. We have no convincing explanation for either the Pioneer anomaly or the flyby anomaly.”

In the one probe the researchers did not confirm a noticeable anomaly with, MESSENGER, the spacecraft approached the Earth at about latitude 31 degrees north and receded from the Earth at about latitude 32 degrees south. “This near-perfect symmetry about the equator seemed to result in a very small velocity change, in contrast to the five other flybys,” Anderson explained — so small no anomaly could be confirmed.

The five other flybys involved flights whose incoming and outgoing trajectories were asymmetrical with each other in terms of their orientation with Earth’s equator. The fact this effect seems most evident with flybys most asymmetrical with respect to Earth’s equator “suggests that the anomaly is related to Earth’s rotation,” Anderson said.

As to whether these new anomalies are linked with the Pioneer anomaly, “I would be very surprised if we have discovered two independent spacecraft anomalies,” Anderson told “I suspect they are connected, but I really do not know.”

“Another thing in common between the Pioneer and these flybys is what you would call an unbound orbit around a central body,” Anderson said. “For instance, the Pioneers are flying out of the solar system — they’re not bound to their central body, the sun. For the other flybys, the Earth is the central body. These kinds of orbits just don’t occur very often in nature — it could be when you get into an unbound orbit around a central body, something goes on that’s not in our standard models.”

The researchers are now collaborating with German colleagues to search for possible anomalies in the Rosetta probe’s second flyby of the Earth on November 13.

“We should continue to monitor spacecraft during Earth flybys. We should look carefully at newly recovered Pioneer data for more evidence of the Pioneer anomaly,” Anderson added. “We should think about launching a dedicated mission on an escape trajectory from the solar system, just to look for anomalies in its motion.”

Falling Satellite.

Unfortunately besides expected astronomic events there are unexpected ones. It appears that a large U.S. spy satellite has lost power and propulsion and could hit the Earth in late February or March, government officials said Saturday, AP reports.

The satellite, which no longer can be controlled, could contain hazardous materials, and it is unknown where on the planet it might come down, they said. The officials spoke on condition of anonymity because the information is classified as secret.

“Appropriate government agencies are monitoring the situation,” said Gordon Johndroe, a spokesman for the National Security Council. “Numerous satellites over the years have come out of orbit and fallen harmlessly. We are looking at potential options to mitigate any possible damage this satellite may cause.”

He would not comment on whether it is possible for the satellite to be perhaps shot down by a missile. He said it would be inappropriate to discuss any specifics at this time.

A senior government official said that lawmakers and other nations are being kept apprised of the situation.

Searching UFO in NASA Archives.

As it became known NASA has agreed to search its archives once again for documents on a 1965 UFO incident in Pennsylvania, a step the space agency fought in federal court. The government has refused to open its files about what, if anything, moved across the sky and crashed in the woods near Kecksburg, Pa., 40 miles southeast of Pittsburgh.

Traffic was tied up in the area as curiosity seekers drove to the area, only to be kept away from the crash site by soldiers.

The Air Force’s explanation for the unidentified flying object: A meteor or meteors.
“They could not find anything,” one Air Force memo stated after a late-night search on Dec. 9, 1965. Several NASA employees also were reported to have been at the scene.

Eyewitnesses said a flatbed truck drove away a large object shaped like an acorn and about the size of a Volkswagon bus. A mock-up based on the descriptions of local residents sits behind the Kecksburg Volunteer Fire Department.

UFO enthusiasts refused to let the matter die and journalist Leslie Kean of New York City sued NASA four years ago for information.

The agency has turned over several stacks of documents which Kean says are not responsive to the request, an argument that U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan agreed with.

In March, Sullivan rejected NASA’s request to throw the case out of court, resulting in negotiations that led to the agency promising last week that it will conduct a more comprehensive search.

Kean said that she sued NASA rather than the Army because the space agency a decade ago released some relevant documents on the case.
